Larry and I really liked the class yesterday. If I was not in Des Moines today, I would be taking the practical CCW class that you are doing. Larry took my 16 year old's slot in the class, as he could not go. Larry has had a CCW for some time, but felt your class was "no comparison".
I never agreed with the new Arizona law to carry concealed without a permit, and consider myself a gun rights citizen. I always thought you needed some training. I was a security guard back in the seventies. Zero training other than telling you not to pull your gun unless someone was going to kill you or someone else. That lack of training gets people killed, for no reason.
Fast-Az will give you other weapons to use, rather than relying on lethal force alone. The law can either be a weapon ON your side, or against you. This family run outfit gives you training that will keep you and your family safe. Teach you how to defend yourself by using an array of non-lethal instruments before resorting to deadly force. The students, from what I saw, gave 100 percent attention to the instructors because the information is well presented and of critical importance to a potential CCW licensee.
Do Larry and I endorse the class? It was outstanding. Period.
Our wives are going to be taking the class ASAP, along with my son. Larry and I are going to be taking some of their more advanced classes, because the basic CCW class is a great start, but we feel a need to get more knowledge. If you like the idea of professional law enforcement teaching you critical survival skills from the real world, you need look no further than FAST-AZ.

I just wanted to say that last nights "Use of Force - Smart Decisions" was a great follow up to the CCW Class of a couple of weeks ago. The evening went by all to fast and the instruction and education value was just as good as the CCW Class. The simulation training exercises were very helpful to me and I feel, the entire class. Once again, I've thought of little else since leaving Cabelas last night and have went back through the simulations several times since then.
With appreciation for your genuine interest in your students,
Mike Wright

This isn't an inquiry but is a pat on the back. Before I retired I was a professional banker for 37 years in the Fort Wayne, IN area and finished my work career as the head of a world wide association, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, located here in Phoenix. I've attended hundreds and perhaps thousands of presentations during my working days and I would say that your course on Saturday was one of the best that I ever witnessed. The mission at hand was successfully completed in a manner that was extremely professional but more importantly, easily understood by first timers in attendance as well as those who were very experienced and proved themselves to be expert marksman.
Having a police officer of 16 years with an abundance of experience was helpful from the perspective of how the "CCW" holder should relate to the various police agencies and from a practical experience standpoint. There's nothing like learning from someone that has been there, done that and has a drawer full of T-Shirts to prove their qualifications. Sam Sr. was also an important part of the range and classroom and his life long experience with guns and the NRA just added to the benefit of taking the class.
In closing, I thought that everyone who helped put on this course was very helpful, polite and was dedicated to making sure that everyone in attendance got their money's worth. The cost of $80.00 was cheap compared to the quality of the course and the immeasurable experience that was passed along at the range and in the classroom.
My hat is off to Fast-AZ and I look forward to future opportunities to learn more about the proper attitudes and usage of weapons for personal protection.j
Sincerely,
Wm "Mike" Wright

Janice, Thanks so much for the info. We also want to let you know how beneficial the CCW class was. We began the experience not knowing what to fully expect. The instructors were so knowledgeable and personable taking time and patience to make sure we had a full understanding. The information on the laws, the time at the range along with the fantastic simulation were more than we anticipated. We would recommend this class as being an exceptional experience and left with a knowledge basis to build on. We would be interested in continuing with some type of laser simulation training if this is available, to reinforce the training we received this past weekend. Thanks again for such a good experience.

Dear, Samuel, Sam and Janice,
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the class. I went in not knowing a whole lot about handguns and being scared of them. I came out with knowledge and understanding the safety and use of a pistol. I did not think from previous target shooting that I liked it or was any good at it. I HAD A BLAST! Plus my husband is so proud of me. I found a new hobby I can enjoy along side my husband. Thanks Again for all you did. Look forward to signing up this time with my husband for future classes.

Tactical Shotgun Sept 25, 2010
by Brad Briggs Date Added: Wednesday 29 September, 2010
What an amazing course! I have been shooting all types of firearms since my childhood and received training ranging from hunting classes, ccw classes and tactical training at Scottsdale Gun Club. I learned more in one day about stance, movement, changing weapons and ammunition in "fight" situation, shooting positions, and situational response- than in all my previous experiences. Instructors were Top notch....treating all students with respect while being professional and simplifying each topic to basic fundamentals. I will be taking future courses with anticipation for all that will be learned. Thank you again to all those involved in the FAST training. Dr. B

Tactical Shotgun Sept 25, 2010

I have been a member of a prominent gun club in Scottsdale since it opened. The training that I experienced with Fast firearms training has been without a doubt as fine as I have ever experienced. Even though the temperatures outside were quite warm I was so caught up in the training that I didn't really even notice. My oldest son and I were both in the course and we agreed that it was time and attention that was well spent. ( He kicked my butt in the final challenge)

Comment: Hi guys, I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much I really enjoyed this weekend's course. The level of detail in the classroom and practical instruction was pleasantly surprising. I could not have developed any bad habits if I tried under the close scrutiny and personal guidance by all three instructors. The tone of the class was always positive without a hint of the overbearing drill-sergeant syndrome. I was nervous and you managed to make my first time shooting into a pleasant and informative experience. Thanks guys. Dr. D.
Good Afternoon, I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to F.A.S.T. personnel, Brian, Sam and Samuel for a very well-organized, informative, and fun training course last Sunday. The instructors were professional, knowledgeable, and very approachable. I felt that I took my skill set to the next level and would highly recommend the Tactical Handgun training for anyone desiring to increase their skills and confidence.
I want to tell you and the FAST staff how much I enjoyed taking the Tactical Shotgun training. The instructors were excellent and I was really impressed how they individualized the course to maximize what I wanted to learn about handling a shotgun safely and effectively. The shotgun/handgun exercise was awesome. I fired as many rounds as I wanted. The course was highly interactive with some great moving and concealment exercises and I now feel confident I could use my shotgun effectively in a home defense situation. The real life situation simulation exercises were immensely informative and again, gave me more confidence if I encounter a similar situation. With weekly news reports of home invasions in the Phoenix area, I would highly recommend this course for all homeowners who want to protect their loved ones and property. Thanks again for a great experience.
