The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses.
Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting. NRA Basic Firearm Training program brouchure, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
This is an excellent course for those trying to decide if they want to pursue additional firearms related activities or training.
NRA's Basic Personal Protection in the Home Course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state and local law. The course exposes students to several schools of thought regarding defensive shooting techniques. The students will be taught a variety of positions, grips, gun handling techniques and reloading methods.
This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
The NRA Basics of Personal Protection in the Home course participants must be experienced shooters who possess the basic knowledge and skills of safe gun handling and pistol shooting.

Our Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) class meets or exceeds state requirements for the state of Arizona and consists of classroom lectures and shooting. The classroom will cover the civil and criminal responsibilities that come with carrying a CCW, the mental and physical changes that your body will have, and firearms safety and maintenance. This class designed for the beginner shooter so you will be offered extra time on the range to cover grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, and other basics of firing a handgun.
What you need to bring:
Reliable handgun and strong side holster*
100 rounds of ammunition.
Eye and ear protection. (For eye protection, sunglasses or prescription eyeglasses will do.)
Notepad or notebook
Driver’s License or government issued photo ID
Recommended equipment:
At least one extra magazine or speed loader and some type of Magazine carrier or pouch *
A reliable handgun is a semi-automatic pistol or revolver in good, working condition.

This class will utilize the Laser shot simulator for judgemental shooting exercises.
Pistol I – Introductory Level: This class is for shooters who have had at least a basic pistol class FAST or any other accredited instructor. State concealed carry certification classes specifically do not qualify. Topics covered include basic pistol topics and the following: malfunction drills, shooting on the move as well as strong hand and weak hand shooting. Introduction to timed fire drills and evaluations based on class skill level. Concealed carry methods are also covered. Night-fire will depend on time of year and range restrictions.
