Q. Firearms Simulation? - Do you use "real" bullets in your training?
A. Some of our advanced classes use as much as 600 rds of handgun and 200 rds of shotgun (or 300 rds of carbine) and all of them are real!
Q. Is there an age limit (upper or lower) for signing up for training?
A. You must be at least 18 years old and complete a student application and Liability Waiver to participate in Training. However, in some of the classes children as young as 12 will be allowed as long as a parent is also enrolled in the class.
Q. Why should I get my Arizona CCW permit?
A. July 29, 2010 has passed and you no longer need a permit to carry concealed in Arizona, but without a permit you will only be able to carry in Arizona! HOWEVER -
If you want to learn the laws to know when you would be justified in using deadly force - you might want to take our class.
If you travel and want the ability to carry concealed in 32 other states - you might want to take our class.
If you like going to National Parks and want to be able to defend yourself - you might want to take our class.
If you want to eat at Olive Garden or any other restaurants (that's not posted "NO WEAPONS ALLOWED") and have your weapon with you - you might want to take our class.
If you want to have a chance at surviving a court battle after a deadly force encounter where you had to use your weapon - you might want to take our class.
A. If you're asking this sort of question, take a class first and read a book or two. You're obviously talking about a first gun. You need to know a lot before you can responsibly handle your first gun on your own. Don't take the advice of a well-meaning friend and get the gun your friend thinks is best—that's like letting your friend buy your shoes. In a class, you'll get to try out a few different types of firearms, and see which suits you best. Just like shoes, try before you buy. Hand size, body strength, what the gun will be used for, revolver or semiautomatic, weight, cost, size—a lot of factors play into making the right decision.
